Perleidechse
Die Perleidechse ist mit bis zu 75 Zentimeter Gesamtlänge die größte Eidechse Europas. Obwohl sie Bodenbewohner sind, können die Tiere gut klettern und flüchten bei Gefahr auch auf Bäume.
Nach der Paarung im April/Mai können mehrere Gelege mit bis zu 22 Eiern abgelegt werden. Die Jungen schlüpfen nach etwa drei Monaten. Hauptfeinde der großen Eidechsen sind Greifvögel und die Eidechsennatter.
