General information

  • From 1 March to 31 October, anyone travelling with a VVS day ticket receives a bonus on the standard admission price: adults €1, school pupils and students (aged 18–28), children (aged 6–17) €0.50. The discount can only be granted directly at the ticket office.
  • Stuttgart Family Card: We accept the Family Card as a means of payment at our ticket offices and in our online shop. The Family Card is available from the City of Stuttgart.
  • ErlebnisCard and StuttCard: We are partners of the ErlebnisCard and the StuttCard. If you show your valid card at the entrance, you will receive one-time free admission. The ErlebnisCard and the StuttCard can only be used at the main entrance and not at the side entrances.
  • State Family Pass: From 1 March to 31 October, you can use the State Family Pass and the accompanying voucher to obtain a family ticket at the evening rate instead of the standard rate. The discount can only be granted directly at our ticket offices.

Regulations for kindergartens

The following conditions apply to school classes:

  • Admission price per pupil: €7.50
  • Free admission for accompanying persons: One accompanying person is admitted free of charge for every 10 pupils.
  • Additional accompanying persons: £19.50 per person (group price)
  • Important: Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply an additional discount (e.g. through VVS Bonus) to the already reduced group rate.

Prices apply regardless of group size. School classes with fewer than 15 pupils must present a current school certificate.

Group tickets cannot be purchased in advance. You will receive your ticket directly at the ticket office on site as soon as the group arrives.

Advance registration is not required.

Since 1 March 2015, students of all disciplines have been paying the reduced student rate when visiting Wilhelma. Under certain conditions, Wilhelma supports courses for students by granting free admission.

Admission is free if:

  • The course has been announced in writing by the responsible lecturer to the executive office at least two weeks in advance. The date, group size and title of the course must be specified.
  • The lecturer accompanies the group.
  • The group arrives together at the ticket office. Anyone who arrives later must purchase a ticket.

Participants can present a valid student ID card upon request.

Please send your registration in good time with the above-mentioned information to: melanie.roempp@wilhelma.de. You will receive confirmation from us that your course has been registered.

On the day of the event, please gather all your students in front of the main ticket office so that the group can be admitted together. As the lecturer, please briefly introduce yourself to your colleagues at the ticket office. They will have received written information about your planned visit in advance.

Your contribution to species conservation

Admission prices as advertised include the Conservation Euro. This voluntary contribution amounts to € 1 per adult for day passes helping us to fund our wildlife conservation work around the world. If you do not wish to make this donation, you can opt out of this option during the booking process.

100 percent of the money collected through this initiative goes to projects supporting the preservation of endangered animals and their habitats.
